Wishtree

This book has magical qualities and life lessons taught to the reader by a "talking tree".  The tree breaks the code of silence to bring a neighborhood torn apart by negativity and racism back together with help from the animals and 2 children characters.  There's a family history behind the wishtree where people have put their wishes/dreams on the tree for years in hopes of them coming true.  They must save the tree from being taken down.  Its a sweet tribute to nature and childhood friendship.
