The Woman Left Behind

Howard’s latest is a strong intense story starting with a group of technical staff being transferred to active duty technical operatives in a clandestine organization. Jina is assigned to Levi Butcher’s team and they take a direct role in her training and conditioning largely hoping she’ll wash out. But over time she grows on the team and finds her place among them. I really enjoyed the book however, the blurbs don’t at all match up with what the book is about and readers who depend on the jacket to pick it may be sorely disappointed. That said, this one worked for me.
