Because of Miss Bridgerton

This was a delightful read, even for a Julia Quinn book. The main characters were so honest and refreshing. I loved their characterization and way each one interacted with each other and the world at large.

 

This book is highly character based with a lot of dialogue, full of the usual wit and verve one can expect from a Julia Quinn novel. There is an outside plot - and I think it was well done - but the real journey here is the one the main characters take towards self-discovery. JQ is not one to shy away from difficult questions or situations in her stories (despite their overall levity), but I do not think I've seen her tackle existential crisis in such a fashion. Well done! It calls one to become introspective of themselves and I think that's rather beautiful.
