After the Wind

Though I've not watched any of the fictionalized films, I've learned a lot about the 1996 Everest tragedy through books and documentaries.  I never caught that one of the Hall expedition team members was from Michigan.  I learned of this title while on vacation and had to pick it up as soon as I got home.  I always have viewed expedition leader Rob Hall as a great hero.  Kasischke's account was a different point of view and has made me question who was to blame for the loss of so many lives.  Part love story and part memoir, this book will keep you hooked until the very end.
