The Diva Cooks a Goose

Sophie Winston starts her Christmas Eve with an evening of family gathered around their traditional stuffed goose, and ends it with a panicked phone call from her brother telling her that his entire neighborhood has had their Christmas gifts stolen.  If that wasn't enough, there is drama amongst the families in his neighborhood, and then a murder gets thrown into the mix.

 

This series is one of my favorites.  Krista Davis writes for those of us who have a love/hate relationship with the Martha Stewart-esque domestic divas.  She has created a character, Sophie, who is the calm event planner who keeps it simple yet makes everything look stylish and put together, and her counterpart, Natasha, who is the over the top diva who wants everything in life to look like it came out of the pages of a magazine.  This book is entertaining and fun, with several yummy recipes.
