Anna's journey. Anna is an almost 12-year old Greek ex-patriate now living a tenuous existence with her father in Oxford just after World War I. She is meant to be learning to be a refined English Miss but she's more suited to wandering the woods and fields, largely without supervision… which will of course get her into trouble. Old magic haunts the woods and roads and its sights are set on her. This twisting tale is fascinating as we follow Anna through her story.
