A Little Chaos

Part of me kept putting this off because of my tremendous appreciation for its co-writer/director, the late Alan Rickman. I knew I would love it and I knew that it would end too soon. Ignore whatever you know about French history and just enjoy this lovely story of Sabine, a passionate landscape architect who is commissioned to lead the creation of an outdoor ballroom on the grounds of Versailles bringing her to the attention of the court. The story is a romance but addresses gender and classes issues and showcases a wonderful cast including Kate Winslet, Matthias Schoernaerts, Stanley Tucci, and Rickman himself as Louis IVX.
