A wonderful documentary which promotes psychological well-being

Ideally everyone, no matter where they reside on planet Earth, desires to live a long and happy life.  However, realistically, life is fraught with ups and downs.  So given life’s daily difficulties, why are some people able to face these challenges with a positive and resilient outlook while others cannot?

It turns out that sixty percent of the happiness equation is beyond our control.  According to researchers fifty percent of a person’s emotional well-being can be attributed solely to genetics.   We are all wired differently.   Surprisingly, only ten percent is directly correlated to an individual’s life circumstances such as financial security or physical health.

The good news is that the final forty percent relates to factors which are the result of decisions that we make as individuals.  This is the focus of this documentary.  Happy takes viewers on a worldwide journey to discover how to enhance those intrinsic factors which contribute to our overall psychological well-being.
