While there have been many literary and cinematic interpretations of Jane Austen's  Pride & Prejudice, fans of the original should give this version a try.  Remaining true to the original personalities and dynamics between the characters, author Curtis Sittenfeld brings the Bennett family, Fitzwilliam Darcy, and their friends and families into the 21st century.  I particularly enjoyed the updated version of Lydia's suitor.  The familial drama, meddling, and misunderstandings run amok as in the original, creating a fun and lighthearted read.
