The Casual Vacancy

I had read the book before watching the show, so I was a little worried about the adaptation to a TV show.  I didn't need to worry, it was wonderful.  It follows the lives of a group of people in a British village after one of their own dies suddenly.  I was impressed how the show captured the attitudes regarding status and where you happen to live that can be prevalent in British villages like this.  It kept me engrossed for all three one hour episodes.
