The Roots of Dub

King Tubby used his knowledge of electronics to build customized sound equipment to use for the large outdoor dances.  He then built recording equipment which allowed him to 'remix' classic reggae recordings into dance rhythms with primarily drum and bass.  His work led a musical revolution of sorts and influenced all forms of dance music to follow.
