Sorcerer to the Crown

Zacharias Whyte has become Sorcerer Royal and no one’s happy about it… including him. The overt gossip claiming he killed his adopted father, the old man’s ghost still trying to manage him, and (of course) the assassination attempts, have all made London rather uncomfortable. This projected series starter has fabulous and absurd humor, tackles issues of sexism and racism beautifully and introduces a cast of characters I’d love to know more about. Fans of Mary Robinette Kowal, Jo Walton, Susanna Clarke might all enjoy this.
