Light of the Sun is a great title for this cd. It’s as if a bright light was shone on Jill giving her a burst of creative energy and permission to open her heart in song. Not only does she stay true to the neo soul vibe she’s known for, but little dashes of jazz, hip hop, gospel, spoken word, and guest artists are added in just the right amounts. From the soulful duet with Anthony Hamilton, So in Love, to the heart wrenching Hear My Call, fans and newcomers alike will be happy that Jilly from Philly is back.
