The German Doctor

When I saw this movie I was swept away by the gorgeous Patagonian mountain and lake views, but I was creeped out nonetheless.  Nazi war criminal Josef Mengele had a thing for human genetics and history shows he performed monstrous experiments (among other things) on victims at the Auschwitz concentration camp.  Little proof exists of his life after he fled to South America, but this fictional Argentinian drama jabs at how easy it was for some German Nazis to be accepted around the world after the war.  Don’t miss the birthday party scene.
