The Necromancer’s House

This is the story of a sorcerer who has made mistakes in the past, but is now in Alcoholics Anonymous, mentoring a young magic user and mostly staying on the straight and narrow. But some of his mistakes can still haunt him and one in particular attracts the attention of a dangerous witch. Horror, surreal and creepy imagery, and a fascinating take on Russian Folklore make this a fun read.

I did most of this story with the audio edition which was fabulously disturbing. The reader Todd Haberkorn does a wonderful job with the various accents and different enough characters that I checked once to make sure there really was only one narrator.
