Everyone said it was impossible!

Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl and 5 men crossed the Pacific Ocean in 1947 in a balsa wood raft in an effort to prove Heyerdahl's theory that Pre-Colombian South Americans settled the Polynesian Islands. Against much criticism, Heyerdahl set out to prove his theory. The men spent a harrowing 101 days at sea encountering many obstacles, both physical and mental. It is a thrilling and harrowing tale of a man living a dream that many said was impossible.
