A Tear in the Eye is a Wound in the Heart

Black Prairie’s latest compilation is best described as an “other worldly” acoustic wonder. This unique assemblage of music makes you wonder: is this bluegrass, folk or country? Whatever you decide, picture yourself dancing polkas at a town festival in Hungary when you hear Taraf (track #13) or be completely mesmerized by the gorgeous melding of the accordion, violin and cimbalom in How Do You Ruin Me (track 6). Black Prairie is an occasional band made up of members from The Decemberists. Excellent side gig music indeed.
