Fallen Empires

I’m a sucker for a certain style of Brit-Pop—think Coldplay or Athlete –and Snow Patrol, who won me over with their colossal hit “Chasing Cars,” has continued to hold my attention. Their 2011 release Fallen Empires offers a range of works in a complete album from the rocking opening picks “I’ll never Let Go” and “Called Out In the Dark” to the gorgeous ballads ”The Garden Rules” backed by indie artist, Lissie, and the LA Inner City Mass Choir to the electronica-based “Fallen Empires.” It also includes a couple of moving instrumental interludes like the closing piece “Broken Bottles Form A Star.” If you like Coldplay, Athlete, or even U2 you might check out this album.
