Includes my single favorite version of Cohen’s “Hallelujah”!

This is a fabulous collection of covers featuring the works of Canadian singer/songwriters including Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mtchell, and Jane Sieberry. The album highlights Lang’s amazing voice with spare instrumentation. Other than “Hallelujah,” standouts include “The Valley,” “After the Gold Rush,” and Lang’s original “Simple.” Fans of any of the originals, Lyle Lovett, and Emmylou Harris might enjoy this.
