The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

A picture book about the power of books!

This lovely picture book inspired the 2012 Oscar-winning short film! The illustrations are gorgeous and the story moving. When Mr. Lessmore’s world is scattered to the winds stories save the day. Nods to The Wizard of Oz, Buster Keaton, and Hurricane Katrina make this a poignant tale. If you can find the short film, it’s a lovely version of a wonderful story. And, for lucky iPad owners (I’m not one) there’s an app that integrates the book and film and can be used to augment the physical book.
