Former pro-cyclist Josh Golden has caught Charity Jones’s eye, but he’s everything she wants to avoid… gorgeous, charming, and perfect.

In the first of Mallery’s Fool’s Gold series Charity Jones comes to town as the new City Manager but the Mayor omitted one important point in Charity’s job description. She needs to find a way to bring men into Fool’s Gold. For no good reason very few men have stayed in or moved to the city and that needs to change fast before the city dies out. Meanwhile, former pro-cyclist and hunk Josh Golden—one of the few available men—has caught Charity’s eye, but he’s everything she wants to avoid… gorgeous, charming, and perfect. But Josh has his flaws and fears and maybe they can help each other.

If you’ve liked Mallery before you will like this new series. The characters are quirky and witty. There’s a few nice side storylines about family and belonging. And the central romance is both sweet and hot. Fans of Susan Donovan (Ain't Too Proud to Beg), Lori Foster (Causing Havoc), and Susan Wiggs (The Summer Hideaway) could all find something to like here. Look out for the sequels Almost Perfect and Finding Perfect.
