Hours

Part time 20 hours per week.

Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) provides library services to our local communities seven days per week. All positions except those in the Administrative Offices will require some evening and weekend hours, including Sundays. While this position is currently assigned at the above location, CADL reserves the right to require all employees to be available for assignments at any CADL location.

Salary

$16.24 per hour

Nature of Work

Under the direction of Collection Development Director, is responsible for MeLCat administrative tasks and reports. Assist Selection Specialists with readers advisory and collection maintenance. Also performs cataloging and processing support for the Technical Services Department.

Education & Experience

·         Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.

·         This is an entry-level classification. No specific prior experience is required. Experience working in a public library is preferred.

·         Experience with MelCat and/or using Sierra, SkyRiver or other automated cataloging system highly desirable.

·         Experience or knowledge of libraries and library cataloging highly desirable.
