Mobile Library Assistant Downtown

Hours
Part-time. 20 hours per week. Will include evenings and weekends.
Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) provides library services to our local communities seven days per week. All positions except those in the Administrative Offices will require some evening and weekend hours, including Sundays. While this position is currently assigned at the above location, CADL reserves the right to require all employees to be available for assignments at any CADL location.
Salary
$17.23 per hour
Nature of Work
Under the supervision of the Head of Outreach Services, provides mobile library services to patrons of all ages. These services include Readers Advisory, instruction in basic technology, troubleshooting digital services and programing for Youth and Adults. In addition the position helps to maintain the mobile library’s collection and performs a variety of circulation functions. Ability to work days, nights, and weekends. Regular Saturday work is required.
Education & Experience
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.
Possession of a Chauffeur’s License
A valid Michigan Driver’s License, and an acceptable driving record. Must maintain acceptable level of insurance coverage.
This is an entry-level classification; no previous experience is required. Experience working in a public library is preferred.
