A rock classic, revisited and expanded.

When Linkin Park’s 20th anniversary edition of “Meteora” came out, the newly-released b-side “Lost” topped the charts six years after their lead singer’s death. I was immediately hypnotized by the power of the song’s grief and rage. As for the original album “Meteora,” its power hasn’t faded a bit; Linkin Park’s command of electronics/synths, heavy guitars and drums, rap, and soaring rock vocals are still unparalleled. With “Hybrid Theory” and “Meteora,” they changed the landscape of rock. The original album itself is outstanding, but the new bonus tracks, demos, and live versions have also been wonderful to hear. After a career so tragically cut short, this release is like one last parting gift.
