The great synth band returns with a dark, moody new album.

Almost one year after the death of longtime band member Andy "Fletch" Fletcher, Depeche Mode returns with a new album that evokes the power and dark majesty of their '80s/'90s classics such as Music for the Masses and Violator. Both Dave Gahan and Martin Gore are in fine voice, with Gore in particular delivering a beautiful performance on the moody torch song "Soul With Me". For anyone who liked DM in their heyday but may have lost touch with them, this album might lure you back into the fold.
