1950's America through the lens of two Black women faced with impossible choices.
Ruby and Eleanor are two teens who have worked so hard to be successful. Life has a way of intervening and they are both left with impossible choices and difficult decisions. The life of Black women in America in the 1950's looked at in a way that has not been written about much. I really enjoyed this historical fiction book and was quickly lost in Ruby and Eleanor's stories.
