This album opens with a waltz-time song "Magic Answer" giving an opening to a variety of country song forms. I will admit, I am a sucker for Big Jake since I lived across the hall from him and would visit just to listen to him play anything from Waylon Jennings to Bruce Springsteen. Most of the songs hit on everyday living and how to go through the process of just living, making the songs easy to sing and worthy of road trips to northern Michigan. Give the Boys a chance because they might just be a "Magic answer" for you.
