A lot of books are called brutally honest. This one really is, but being written by an Ephron (one of Delia's sisters was Nora) it is also funny. This is her memoir of about five years in which 1. her husband of over 30 years dies 2. she falls head over heels in love with a new man 3. she gets leukemia. It is about all of these things, but most of all is about the nature of friendship and connection. The narration by the author is full of a New Yorker's expressive storytelling. I found this audiobook to be alternately rough listening and delightful, but always thoroughly engaging.
