I wish I could go back in time and give some other books I rated 5 stars less stars because this is way better than most other things I’ve ever read. Funny, weird, intelligent, profound, bizarre, and deeply personal, the author describes her divorce and her sister’s suicide with the same treatment she gives to a roommate’s devious shaggy dog and the weird kid who lives next door to her. I love Brosh’s trademark style: drawings that look bad at first glance but are actually perfectly expressive of the… unsettled and retreating perspective Brosh has of the world. Brilliant.
