Do you like Studio Ghibli films? Do you like Harry Potter, but wish that magic wasn't gatekept behind heredity? Then I cannot recommend this manga series enough! The art is gorgeous! Whether looking at the backgrounds, the character design, or just the linework, the illustrations just flow off the page. The story is simple but elegant! Coco is the daughter of a seamstress, but dreams of becoming a witch. After a chance encounter, she learns her magical dreams may come true, but at a cost! Again, the story is simple, but well told. Magic actually follows its own laws! I can't say too much for fear of spoiling, but it's very satisfying. Please, please read this! It is a feast for the eyes and the soul.
