The best part of this book was how unlikeable the main character is, and how utterly unapologetic she is about it. This is a character who knows who she is, knows what she wants, and has no problems doing whatever it takes to get it. While this may not be everyone’s preference, it was a refreshing change of pace from many other books I’ve read recently, and for that reason alone, I loved it. (Also, it was pretty cool to see an Indian-American main character whose conflict had nothing to do with her Indian-ness.)
