At 40 years old, I’m probably not the target audience for a Nancy Drew story. But if you, like me, grew up reading about the original, perpetually “titian-haired” teenaged sleuth, you’ll love these audiobook versions of some of her vintage adventures. Actress Laura Linney strikes just the right retro tone, portraying Nancy as feisty yet refined, and dramatic music cues sprinkled throughout turn this into something like an old-time radio show. Check out a couple of these discs and travel back to the days when you dreamed of solving crimes just like Nancy. And hey, your kids might like them too!
