Three generations of guitar virtuosos share a soundstage in a laidback summit to talk about how they came to guitar, got into the music business and developed their styles (not always in that order). This is full of familiar and original music, as well as fascinating insights into the careers of Jimmy Page (The Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin), The Edge (U2), and Jack White (White Stripes and The Raconteurs). The quirky personalities of all three come through along with their drive to create and experiment. Directed and produced by Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) this documentary was an Official Selection of both the Toronto International and Sundance Film Festivals. Fans of any of the artists (or their respective groups) should enjoy this.
