He has almost every electronic device he wants to watch from his robotic couch, until one day he adds a new device and the electricity fails, causing the house to go dark. 

 He goes outside and discovers a whole new world. Surprised by the sun’s brightness, Couch Potato discovers a world even more realistic than a big screen TV. 
 The chirping sound isn’t a ringtone, it’s real birds!  Soon the formerly sedentary potato is hiking, biking, playing board games, and hanging out with friends.  
 Couch Potato decides to live his life “in person".
