Move over adventure... brat summer begins at your library!

The newest from the pop diva, Charli XCX’s Brat was the album of the summer. If you’re anywhere on social media, you’ve probably heard "Apple" (and seen the viral dance) or maybe the "girl, so confusing" version with lorde, which did, in fact, make the internet go crazy. Yes, this album has its 'club classics', but it’s got more than that--it speaks to the dichotomies of being a woman, or being a young person, or just plain being alive in this moment.

One moment it’s near delusions of grandeur and the next Charli’s sharing her innermost insecurities, e.g. 'It’s okay to admit that you’re jealous of me / You’re obsessing, just confess it ‘cuz it’s obvious / I’m your number one' "Von dutch" vs. 'I don’t know if I belong here anymore… I don’t feel like nothing special' "I might say something stupid".
