What actually goes on in prison?

I’ve been a listener of the Ear Hustle podcast for over 5 years now. This started as part of the education department at San Quentin State Prison and works to tell the stories of incarcerated persons to the world outside the prison. The stories they report vary from hilarious to heartbreaking. So, when the book came out, I wanted to see what new stories they decided to bring to the page. 
Because I’ve been listening for so long, I had to listen to the audiobook version of it. Nigel and Earlonne’s voices set a grounding tone that makes the transitions between stories so smooth. As interviewers, they excel at getting the best stories from the people they are interviewing.
