An indie electronic delight, without a single “skip”!

Imogen Heap’s 2005 album Speak for Yourself became my obsession when I was 10 and it was new, and I still find myself returning to it all these years later. The electronic landscapes are lush and mystifying. The production is impeccable. The melodies and riffs are catchy and captivating. The lyrical imagery is specific and gorgeous. Imogen’s voice is breathy, gorgeous, and utterly singular. When this album came out, I’d never heard anything like it, and I still haven’t since!
