Federal Investigator Aaron Falk has returned to his hometown after twenty years, for the funeral of Falk’s childhood best friend and his family. Once there, he is asked to investigate the deaths, and teams up with the local police sergeant to delve into the secrets hidden behind a seemingly meaningless slaughter. Meanwhile, questions arise about the long-ago death of a young woman, the same death that drove Falk and his father running out of town all those years ago.
