This book is more than just a cookbook. Yes, the recipes are wonderful...I have tried many and will try even more...but it also is a history book about cast iron cookware and how to clean and care for it. I didn't realize there were so many different styles and shapes and purposes for cast iron cookware. And if you don't have any cast iron pans, the recipes are still fantastic in whatever cookware you do have!
