Interior Chinatown

Quick and fun-- but it'll be on your mind for weeks.

To explain this amazing book to you in any comprehensible way would be impossible for me to do, but that is exactly the basis of what makes it so genius. In one of the quickest reads I've had in my hands in awhile, author Charles Yu somehow manages to explore the lives of Asian immigrants, the biases of Hollywood, Asian Americans in their very specific place in the white American consciousness, and the difference between playing a part and being your authentic self. This is done with brilliant finesse in a setting that moves flawlessly through a blurred space between reality and tv script.
Interior Chinatown is like nothing I have ever read before, but as a National Book Award winner, comes highly recommended from almost everyone, myself included
