Whether borrowing this book from the library or looking for a special book to gift to a child, the minute you open this book, awesomeness begins. While most books about hair and grooming focuses on girls, this is a welcome addition to the genre. This book does double duty encouraging self-esteem and confidence, while appreciating the wide variety of styling options for boys. But it’s not just about hair, I think one of the greatest attributes of this book is the consistent message, “I am born to be AWESOME!”  Of course, a note on the illustrations cannot be left out. There is good balance between text and illustration. The focus on one character at a time really brings out their personality and strengths
