What caught my attention to this book was the title! Women who wore petticoats back in the day, must have despised them. But the young girls depicted here, did not heed to social norms or ideas of how women should behave in society. I loved reading the fictional narratives that told stories of a whole new side of American History, that I was not aware of. This book has a lot to offer, that includes, fantasy, romance, history, for any teen or adult reader.
