Zoe loves baking. Now that she's 12 she hopes to compete in the Kids Bake Challenge on TV! But on her 12th birthday she gets a letter from her birth father that makes her question everything she's been told about him. Zoe is a regular kid--she messes up some things and she gets others right. It is a moving story about kids and parents doing their best and figuring it out, with a bit of detective work on Zoe's part. The audiobook is narrated by the incomparable Bahni Turpin, and I admit I teared up a  bit at the end, even though it's not really a tear jerker. I'm just a softie, I guess.
