Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch

The world is ending, but the Antichrist is missing.

Witty and irreverent, this is the story of an apocalypse where nothing goes as expected. An angel and a demon who have grown accustomed to their lives on earth do not want the world to end, so they begin working together to stop the Antichrist's rise to power. But, the Antichrist is only an eleven year old boy, and no one seems to know where he is.

The apocalypse story scarred me as a child, but this story had me laughing out loud. The ridiculous antics make a nice contrast to the serious subject matter.
