Ada Limón is a poet I've been going back to a lot lately because she's really good at digging into the hope and beauty amidst despair. Published in 2018 during national political and environmental concerns as well as Limón's own struggles with infertility, isolation, and grief, this is a collection of poems that feels even more timely now in 2020. While it touches on some heavy themes, the poems themselves are full of love and wonder. Even the sorrow feels life-affirming. Ada Limón also writes in a very conversational, place-based way, so even if you don't typically read poetry, I think you'll get a lot out of this collection.
