William Shakespeare's Hamlet: A Graphic Novel for Teens

A dark, gritty and visually fascinating Hamlet for a new generation

The illustrations are really cool: dark and moody, but utilize the period really creatively with period costumes and the like. The text is shortened and modernized at times, but it does a great job of capturing the classic themes of this classic, and when the original text is just too important to mess with it's included in its entirety (for instance, Hamlet's famous "to be or not to be" soliloquy is included without any editing). A really interesting read, and includes a short biography on Shakespeare as well as a fun character glossary.
