Set in the 1980s in South Carolina, this is story of Abby and her wall-flower best friend Gretchen. Full of cultural references of the music and movies and feelings of the 80s, these two girls - along with two other friends - spend a night in the woods and Gretchen doesn't come back the same. Her parents think it has something to do with the pressures they have put on her to be the best girl she can be. But Abby knows better - something got to Gretchen in the woods! Hendrix's style is quirky and very approachable for those who are not regularly horror readers.
