St Paul for Kids!

Chris Raschka is known for taking complex subjects and turning them into evocative picture books for people of all ages.  American place names, jazz music and musicians, stranger danger, and children facing death are all topics that have been covered by this wide-ranging author/illustrator.

In this book, Raschka elucidates one of the key figures of early Christianity: St. Paul of Tarsus.  We see the apostle writing letters to the various Jewish and Gentile communities around the Mediterranean.  Sometimes Paul describes his travel itinerary and discusses his friends; sometimes he teaches lessons about his understanding of Christ.  Occasionally he reprimands (Paul could be prickly), but he always intends his epistles to be in the service of divine love.
