Dystopian Western with Renegade Librarians to Save the Day!

When I picked up this book, the tagline immediately caught my attention: "Are you a coward or are you a librarian?" Given my line of work, I took the challenge! What followed was the tale of Esther, a young woman who ran away from her town to join the Librarians. On the surface, the librarians simply disperse the governments approved reading materials. In reality, these horse riding, gun slinging librarians are a part of a bigger movement to free the world by dispersing more than what the government approves. From the publisher, "The future American Southwest is full of bandits, fascists, and queer librarian spies on horseback trying to the right thing."
