The Rosie Project

On paper Rosie is totally wrong for Don and yet...

Don Tillman is an eccentric geneticist who lacks social skills, not unlike the character Sheldon on the TV comedy Big Bang Theory.  Don applies a scientific and logical approach to all aspects of life, from his Standardized Meal Plan (seafood every Tuesday) to the number of minutes needed for optimal sleep.  After unsuccessful attempts at dating, Don approaches finding a partner like any good scientist and launches The Wife Project, which includes a questionnaire intended to filter for traits Don considers incompatible like tardiness and smoking.  Rosie Jarman fails to meet Don's criteria and yet he finds himself interested in helping her discover the identity of her biological father.  What ensues is a madcap adventure to track down all of the possible father candidates during which Don realizes that he is illogically drawn to The Most Attractive Woman in the World.  Can Don look past Rosie's flaws to consider sharing his life with her?  Can he convince Rosie that he truly loves her?  More than a romantic comedy, The Rosie Project challenges readers to seek out the humanity in all individuals.  Fans of this work can continue on with The Rosie Effect and The Rosie Result.
